Mary Pika
Mary Pika is our lead teacher in room 217, returning for her 17th year on our staff.
Mary has a degree in Home Economics and Child Development. She taught
preschool at Johns Hopkins Hospital for four years. She was a very popular home
day-care provider for twelve years after her family moved to Delaware. Mary's
children are young adults. Mary is a teacher representative to our Preschool
Board. Her love for children, energy and great sense of humor are just some of
the assets she brings to Newark Methodist Preschool.

Patty DeBoda
Patty DeBoda is starting her 13th year as a NMP teacher. Patty has a Bachelor's
Degree in Special Education from the University of Delaware (+30). She taught at
Leeds Elementary School for ten years, spending five years as the Special Ed
Building Coordinator. Her children are alumni of Newark Methodist Preschool.
She is a warm and valued member of our staff! We are fortunate to have such an
experienced assistant as Patty!
