Mandy Manzella - Preschool Director

Joining the NMP staff in 2019, Mandy has been working with young children since her first job in high school as an Extended Day/Camp Counselor for 3 & 4-year olds at Ursuline Academy.  She went on to study Early Childhood Education and Development at the University of Delaware, where she also worked as an undergraduate assistant for New Directions Early Head Start.  After college she spent 6 years as Pre-K teacher at Our Lady of Fatima School until deciding to stay home with her son once he was born.   Mandy has now been a part of the NMP family as a parent and volunteer since her children started attending in 2015, and both her son and daughter loved their time at NMP.  She was very excited to return to the classroom when as a Lead PreK teacher! While she has since changed roles to Director, she still spends time with all of the classes teaching Music. Her favorite part of teaching young children is watching just how much the students learn, grow and change in such a short time. Some of her other favorite things include music, being crafty, photography, reading, and spending time with her family.

Allie Suminski - Pre-K Lead Teacher

Allie began her educator journey subbing at Newark Methodist Preschool in 2021 while her son attended the 3’s program. Quickly she realized working in early education was exactly what she needed to do with her life. She was a stay at home mom for seven years prior to working at NMP to her son and daughter. She eagerly accepted the position of working as an assistant in our Threes classroom, and has since moved on to Lead our 3 day Pre-K class. She is currently a  second year Girl Scout Leader to 11 girls grades kindergarten through second grade. She is passionate about hands on learning, and bringing as much of the real world, to the kids, to experience. Being outside and in nature, exploring art and science are some of her favorite things to do with kids. If there is one quote Allie lives by as a teacher it’s “Take chances, make mistakes and get messy.” -Miss Frizzle, The Magic School Bus.  Reading and providing books to children is a very important cause to Allie. She has her own Little Free Library outside her house and always has books in her van ready to restock a Library looking a bit bare. She has read thousands of different children's books. She enjoys gardening, renovating houses, thrifting, collecting oddities, sewing and tending to her small “zoo” of pets. She attended The Kansas City Art Institute, Metro Community College-KC and DelTech studying fiber, ceramics and early education.
